Weekend wrap up

This past weekend we loaded up and headed to Hattiesburg. We already had plans to hand out lunch and water to volunteers and to those who were affected by the storm, but last minute Jeremy decided to help do some "man work" too. He and my uncle were out of the house at 730 Saturday morning and headed to the church. They along with 200 others set out all over Hattiesburg and Oak Grove to clean up the mess the tornado had made. We met them around 11 to get the car loaded and head over to the avenues to hand out lunch. There were so many people working and helping to clean Hattiesburg. It was touching to see how far people had traveled just to help clean and help someone they have never met. God provides help for those who need it. Although the tornado did so much to the sweet town or Hattiesburg, it also did good for the people. The people of Hattiesburg, and lots of other people are all coming together to help clean up Forrest and Lamar counties, and it is touching to see everyone working for one cause. Below are just a few of the pictures that show what one mean big bad storm can do. How no one was hurt I have no idea, but thank the lord for that.

Trees took this house down...several trees. So very sad.

From the front of USM...doesn't even look the same. Poo r Southern lost most of it's oh so pretty trees.
On a much brighter note...when we weren't cleaning and picking up Hattiesburg we were having a great time at CC and Gump's house. John Preston had himself a ball. He played with his cousins, played with CC and Gumps, met new friends, and even dressed up as a cowboy! Please get a good look at the outfit. He thought he was looking good.

He opened a late  Christmas present too. He loves his tractor from sweet Roroo, Mac, Craig, and Katie
Monday was a day off for me and only me. I loved it. Don't get me wrong I love my family but a day to myself is always a good day.I ran lots of errands and got lots of stuff done. Also had time for a quick pedicure too! For dinner we did Mexican, yes I had the day off, but I did not want to to go the grocery store....so out to eat we went and what is Mexican with out a trip to Orange Leaf. Can we say hello big girl...ha.

High five with daddy..

Man I love Orange Leaf
